The fuse has been lit!
Jeff Bridges and Academy Award winner Tommy Lee Jones (The Fugitive) light a fuse under this action-packed "tension-filled, edge-of-the-seat thriller which will hold you hostage for 120 electrifying minutes" (The Calgary Sun). Fueled with dynamic support by Lloyd Bridges (Hot Shots), Forest Whitaker (Species) and Suzy Amis (Usual Suspects), Blown Away "is the action film you don't want to miss" (Mark McEwen, "CBS This Morning").
When an explosion jolts Boston, bomb squad expert Jimmy Dove (Bridges) is thrust into the most harrowing work of his career. Evidence points to a bomber more dangerous and skilled than any he's ever faced - except one. The possibility that the terrorist is his former mentor (Jones) increases the stakes - and as his friends and family are unsuspectingly drawn into the action, Jimmy is forced to face not only his bitter enemy...but also his haunting past.

This movie will Blow you away, good pace and effects - 4 out of 5 (6/16/1998)
I enjoyed this movie... the characters and story.
The only parts I didn't appreciate so much were
"Kate", Jeff Bridges girlfriend seemed
insensitive to what he liked and wanted from life.
Also... the "Bomber" found himself an old
abandoned boat on the harbour to develop his work... and somehow...
he had a phone line connected... go figure. Other
than just a few silly unbelieveable things... the movie
was very enjoyable! You will not fall asleep!

Boom Baby! - 4 out of 5 (5/18/1998)
Following the MGM lion's roar, varied expectations arise as what to expect from this self-anticipated adventure. Approaching into existence a calm, placid opening credits represents the film takes itself seriously. The dark water crashing on the oceanline unviel the abandoned sensation of a evil murderer's vendetta. Tommy Lee Jones extends his easy-to-swallow, evil persona as a witty bad guy repeatedly stealing the show from the leading man's performance. In films such as 'The Fugitive' and
